Oct. 30, 2025. NGC2158 (Open Cluster)

NGC2158 (Open Cluster) photographed using my Seestar S50 in Alt/Azimuth mode. This image consists of 18 ten second exposures. Noise filtering and curves were done with the Seestar App, Siril, and The Gimp.

Oct. 30, 2025. M35 (Open Cluster)

M35 (Open Cluster known as the Shoe-Buckle Cluster) photographed using my Seestar S50 in Alt/Azimuth mode. This image consists of 24 ten second exposures. Noise filtering and curves were done with the Seestar App, Siril, and The Gimp.

Oct. 30, 2025. M35 and NGC2158 Mosaic

M35 and NGC2158. This image is a mosaic of the M35 and NGC2158 images that are displayed above. The mosaic was created with Affinity Photo. NGC2158 is much older than M35 and about 9,000 light years more distant. Because NGC2158 is so much older most of its hot massive stars have evolved off the main sequence causing the cluster to appear redder than M35 which is a young cluster with many of its hot massive stars still on the main sequence.

Oct. 30, 2025. M37 (Open Cluster)

M37 (Open Cluster known as the Salt and Pepper Cluster) photographed using my Seestar S50 in Alt/Azimuth mode. This image consists of 24 ten second exposures. Noise filtering and curves were done with the Seestar App, Siril, and The Gimp.

Oct. 30, 2025. M36 (Open Cluster)

M36 (Open Cluster known as the Pinwheel Cluster) photographed using my Seestar S50 in Alt/Azimuth mode. This image consists of 24 ten second exposures. Noise filtering and curves were done with the Seestar App, Siril, and The Gimp.

Oct. 30, 2025. M38 (Open Cluster)

M38 (Open Cluster known as the Starfish Cluster) photographed using my Seestar S50 in Alt/Azimuth mode. This image consists of 24 ten second exposures. Noise filtering and curves were done with the Seestar App, Siril, and The Gimp.

Oct. 22, 2025. M2 (Globular Cluster)

M2 (Globular Cluster) photographed using my Seestar S50 in Alt/Azimuth mode. This image consists of 18 ten second exposures. Noise filtering and curves were done with the Seestar App and The Gimp.
