ZWO Seestar S50 Images

TCrB (T Coronae Borealis), August 2, 2026

TCrB photographed using my Seestar S50 in equatorial mode. TCrB is a recurring nova that had flare-ups in 1866 and 1946, and it is the 10th magnitude star at the center of the image. It is expected to flare-up again sometime this year or next year. This image consists of 44 thirty second exposures that were stacked using Siril. Post processing was done with Siril, GraXpert, and PixInsight. There are a number of faint galaxies present in the image so I decided to apply the galaxy annotation script in Siril against this image. The galaxies range in distance from 141 million light years to 725 million light years.

M73 (asterism of four stars), July 15, 2026

M73 photographed using my Seestar S50 in equatorial mode. Messier 73 is just an asterism of four stars that was once thought to be a star cluster. This image consists of 19 thirty second exposures. Post processing was done with Siril, GraXpert, PixInsight, and The Gimp.

M24 (Sagittarius Star Cloud), July 12, 2026

M24 (Sagittarius Star Cloud) photographed using my Seestar S50 in equatorial mode. Messier 24 is just a dense region of stars in the Milky Way. It is not a star cluster, galaxy or nebula. This image consists of 21 thirty second exposures. Post processing was done with Siril, GraXpert, PixInsight, and The Gimp.
