Here is a lovely French language book titled "L'Astronomie Pittoresque" by L'Abbé J. Loridan, which was published in 1896. The cover shows the stereotypical astronomer in a robe and pointed cap looking through a telescope. The book has gilded edges and the binding is a bit loose but the hinges and joints are still intact with no cracks or tears.
