Stellar Atmospheres by Cecilia Payne.
1925 signed 1st edition of Cecilia Payne's book that was her doctoral thesis at Radcliffe College with a forward by Harlow Shapley. In her thesis, Cecilia showed that the Sun and stars were composed primarily of hydrogen, contrary to the thinking of the time that said that the Sun and stars had the same composition as the Earth. My personal copy of this book was used in episode eight ("Sisters of the Sun") of the 2014 production of "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey". I was contacted in April 2013 by the research staff of Voyager Pictures, LLC after they found this web page while doing their research for episode eight. You can spot me on the last page of the credits of episode eight.
